A little about me
Hi! My name is Nikki! My husband and I moved to Fort Collins, CO in 2011, just before our second daughter was born. I can’t say enough how truly lucky we are. I’m a stay at home mom of two amazing girls, and the best part, I get to capture all those precious and fleeting moments. Balancing life with an infant and a toddler at home, I’m taking a select number of clients. After all, you do deserve a more personalized and less rushed experience. Contact me so we can discuss availability and I’ll happily answer any and all questions! Experience I’ve been working as a photographer for several years now. I have a BFA in film production, but it wasn’t until we moved to Florida (our 3 year adventure down South) that I turned my talent and love of photography into my full time occupation. Since, I’ve worked in and out of studios, freelanced for a variety of projects, I’ve been both the lead and an assistant, and I’ve worked with local businesses for product shoots. All that and I’m still excited for the next adventure! About my photography I have a photo-journalistic style with a unique twist. I capture moments as they occur naturally, giving a personal yet modern feel. I love the opportunity to get a little creative, and you’ll always see a sprinkle of creative editing in my pictures. I absolutely love working on location. I’m a fan of the outdoors and I love the look it adds to your portraits. I do work out of my home and offer a studio set up there. Of course, exceptions are newborns and some infant sessions for which we can do a “studio” set up in your home for convenience. The typical session? This includes a location of your choice (I have plenty of suggestions as well) and multiple outfits if desired. You can expect to see some previews as I edit your photos, and a speedy turnaround from your session to your mail box. You will receive a disc with full resolution files and permission to print. The number of photos will depend upon the number of individuals, outfits, poses, etc. I do not offer “digital negatives,” you will receive only polished and print ready images. How does pricing work? It’s interesting seeing the huge array of prices for photographers. What you should know when choosing yours is that you are investing in memories for a lifetime and paying for the TIME it requires to get them. For many, this includes pre-session communication, travel, the actual session, and the time it takes editing (making sure you have print worthy photos). My philosophy? I don’t believe in overcharging and I’m constantly reviewing my pricing. It’s important for me to find the balance between my time and making sure beautiful photography is accessible to everyone. I typically keep my rates the same for returning clients. It’s a little thank you for giving me yet another opportunity for doing exactly what I love to do…Take pictures! What you’re saying!
