Enjoy the weekend! Just applied to be a Jacksonville "insider" on VisitSouth.com...
It got me thinking how much I really do love that place...The Walter Jones National Park! I got to thinking about how I'd love to be a supporter of "the little guy." I would hate to see such a treasure get lost in today's fast paced tourism and end up closing down from lack of the general public's knowledge. They were "advertising" for volunteers and of course asking for donations to help keep everything going. Let's hope there's more supporters like me!! And for fun, the 100 words I submitted for consideration: "The Mandarin area is full of history and once off the main road, the view is stunning. Gorgeous hundred year old oak trees line the winding road. You’ll find yourself in awe of the beautiful homes mixed with the rich history Jacksonville has to offer. The Walter Jones National Park, not only supplies a self guided walking tour, but a museum to accompany it. Actual plantation structures still stand, and visitors can explore the legendary house. Outside, walkers can explore, families can picnic, and fishermen even have a pier! It’s definitely a peaceful place of history waiting to be rediscovered." I've spent a couple of days designing a few thank you cards for our family and friends. I know I'm a picture feind, so does the family...So what better way to show off how thankful we are!
Colorful, simple, and so easily personalized. Now, to make it a www.TheBlogtography.com service available to everyone! Currently uploading more photos to Shutterstock.com.
Being new to stock photography online, it was 1. nice to find a site where you didn't have to pay to post, 2. You actually get paid to post, 3. It's a world wide site. As a photographer, great way to make a few cents and put some of those under used photgraphs to use. And for anyone else...a great way to get quality and awesome images for ANY use. I can't tell you the enormity of selection there is. I can't image someone not finding what they need. So far, I'm impressed! Soon to come, on my own site, specialty items for purchase, such as framed items and even cards! Current Projects:
~Finish "Purchase" portion of the site. ~Thank you card design. ~Reorganize "Your Photos" customer guidelines. More To Do: ~Plan Audrey's 1st Birthday events. ~More "Top Chef"...Thanks to Santa, I now have an official cookbook & Apron! ;) ~Add loads of photos to Shutterstock. Better get started! Here's to a wonderful 2010! |
